MT.B. Racer

Introducing MT. B. Racer, a streamlined app built for mountain biking enthusiasts, coaches, athletes, and families. My goal in developing this app was to create a simple yet powerful tool to track past and upcoming races, staying true to my love of this sport. I raced mountain bikes all through high school and come from a highly competitive family. In 2019 my older brother moved from Georgia to Colorado to pursue a racing career. After this move and with his booked racing schedule it was hard to keep track of how he was doing in each race.

Creative Process:

  • Identifying User Needs: Determined the needs of my target audience and focus groups.

  • Analyzing Competitors: Conducted a competitive analysis to identify the strengths and weaknesses of existing apps.

  • Defining Critical Features: Based on user needs and competitor analysis, I defined the app's key features and functionality.

  • Developing a Prototype: Building a prototype to test the app's design, usability, and functionality.

The app’s design reflects a minimalist and natural aesthetic, with an abstract bike logo that embodies both the freedom and the thrill of mountain biking. With its clean interface and intuitive functionality, MT.B. Racer is designed to seamlessly fit into the active lifestyle of its users.

I utilized Adobe XD to create a fully functional prototype based on the wireframe I developed. This process involved translating my design concepts into an interactive experience, allowing for a seamless demonstration of the user flow and functionality. The prototype effectively showcases the visual design and user experience, enabling stakeholders to engage with the product as if it were live.
