Rural Strong & STEP

The Rural Strong Podcast, hosted by veteran economic developer Joe Barker, explores the people, partnerships, and projects driving real economic growth and transformation in rural America—sharing firsthand stories of leadership, industrial recruitment, workforce challenges and opportunities in rural regions.

STEP is a forward-thinking organization focused on community and economic initiatives. With a brand originally developed by the team, I served as the lead designer on brand application and trade show materials. The STEP website's color palette and overall visual approach was designed for a modern, clean, and approachable feel. For the Rural Strong Podcast, I helped shape its brand aesthetic with resilient tones and straightforward visuals that reflected its focus on rural strength and stories. I also designed trade show collateral, including business cards, a large backdrop and flyers, to create a polished, unified presence at events. I enjoyed building on the strong foundation already in place and collaborating to deliver adaptable pieces that supported their outreach goals effectively.
