Athens Ultimate Taco Trailblazing Extravaganza
Collaborating within a dynamic team of eight designers, we were challenged to craft a guide to Athens. Our collective goal was to share some of the city's vibrant cultural and culinary gems in a fun and interactive way.
To accomplish this, we developed an exciting eating challenge that helped locals broaden their familiarity with local taco spots. The deliverables for this adventure consisted of an informative coloring booklet and a playful social media presence.
Research of the Athens area led us to focus on twenty to thirty year olds as our target audience for this experience. We saw a need for entertainment and diversity within this group and concluded that a taco challenge would help local businesses gain new customers and encourage locals to try new spots.
As a skilled team of designers with a clear goal in mind, we strategically allocated roles and harnessed individual talents—researchers, illustrators, print directors, and social media coordinators—to bring our
vision to life.
I contributed my craftsmanship skills and attention to detail towards the hands-on deliverables of this project. Some specific elements consisted of printing the coloring-book, crafting crayon packets, shaping tinfoil wrappers, and making display boxes to achieve our desired aesthetic.
Past experience in social media management equipped me with a proactive and decisive approach to assist my fellow designers working on the digital aspect of these deliverables. I helped with editing illustrations, configuring a map system, and mock-up posts for the Instagram page.
My leadership style and ability to work cohesively with others was characterized by a commitment to achieving goals and maintaining a clear vision for the team.
At the end of this journey, we successfully engaged the community with the “Athens Ultimate Taco Trailblazing Extravaganza: A Tantalizing Taco Tour Plus a Shamefully Terrific Chewing Challenge.”
